Prof. Vincenzo Bonifati is a well-known acknowledged genetician engaged specifically in Movement disorders and Parkinson’s disease in particular. His lecture was focus on new trends in genetic examination especially on NGS and partially also on GWAS analyses. He was also describe genetic-phenotypic correlations and his discoveries in genetics of Parkinsons disease.

He collaborates with many neurologists from Italy, Portugal, Brazil, Taiwan, The Netherlands, and other countries, as well as with other laboratories worldwide, for the study of large families with Mendelian neurodegenerative disease, large case-control series, and genetically isolated populations.
