ALEX CARRE

Alex CARRE (Camosun College, Centre for Sport and Exercise Education Canada)

Dr. Carre has over 30 years’ international experience as educator, sport administrator and Olympic Committee member. He has travelled, lectured and presented in all areas of the world and is a designated Visiting Professor at both Hong Kong Baptist University and Rennin University of China. He was a faculty member at The University of British Columbia for 35 years (Faculty of Education) with a specialization in curriculum development, instruction and coaching effectiveness and Olympic Studies. He supervised student teachers in all districts in all subject areas (primarily middle and secondary school) and was a long time course instructor (at both graduate and undergraduate levels) with the teacher training program at the University of British Columbia. He is also presently an Adjunct Faculty member at Simon Fraser University and a consultant in Sport and Education focusing on China, Hong Kong and the Middle East.
