Názov: What does the future of digitalisation hold?

Abstract: With the growing burden of chronic diseases, health systems around the world are looking for alternatives to optimise the provision of care. New technologies promise to make healthcare more efficient and provide greater quality. In spite of these promises, evidence suggests that the growing digitalisation will have an impact on the way care is provided. In a world shaped by the digital environment, it is clear that the Community Pharmacists profession will be impacted in its role. Technology already had an impact on the more traditional dispensing role. However, what will happen to the advanced roles of the pharmacist, namely the ones referring to the provision of pharmaceutical care and development of new pharmacy services, is still an open research question. This talk will explore these trends and present the policy report on ePharmacy, produced at the latest PCNE working conference, as a starting point to the discussion on the impact the digitalisation on the pharmacist’s role in the health system.

Názov: e-health: strategies and implementations – study cases

Abstract: Everything is becoming “e-something”, and health development follows the same trend. It implies a new language, new technologies, integrated strategies, implementation feedback and stakeholders’ engagement. In a global view it is essential to look at same study cases that knew how to fill the  gaps and potentiate the actions synergistically. For this workshop we would like to discuss with you an overview of the latest trends and directions, namely politically, legally, regarding institutions and academic views, all together in working order to develop the main topics of the future.
