CHRISTOPHER JOHNSTONE (26 – 28 April, 2017)

Christopher Johnstone is an Assistant Professor of Comparative and International Development Education. In his research he explores operationalization of inclusiveness as they relate to international development, K-12 education, and campus internationalization. His recent research has focused on internationalization of higher education, but he has also explored topics of livelihood development, disability identity, and equity issues in education. Dr. Johnstone’s work spans Central and Eastern Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Through his first-hand knowledge is of the process of internationalization of higher education, he seeks to further his research in examining how such processes can be conducted inclusively, with a particular focus on the connections between diversity and international agendas for higher education.
