BRIGITTE MARSCHALL

Brigitte Marschall (1957) is an Austrian theatre scholar, professor at the Institut für Theater, Film- und Medienwissenschaft, Universität Wien. Her scholarly interests comprise the psychodrama of Jacob Moreno, theatre of cruelty of Antonin Artaud, and Wien Actionism. She gained professorship in 1998 with Die Droge und ihr Double: Zur Theatralität des Rausches (A Drug and Its Double: On the Theatricality of Extasis).
